Ardeer Recreation Bowls Club is an outdoor club and bowling is played in the summer season April to September, internal club competitions take place and friendly games.
The ‘Rec’ as the club is affectionately known is a friendly and sociable club and bowling is gentle exercise.
There is a programme in the club throughout the winter months, to try and keep members actively involved. New members are always welcome.
We can also accommodate private functions such as parties, christening, etc. There is no cost to hire the hall. Catering, if required can be arranged through Mrs Martha Macaulay by calling 01294 470043
Membership fees for 2017/8 is £110.00. First time bowlers are welcome, the first year’s fees for new bowlers or new members will be half price; £55.00. Ask for youth prices.

Any new members are welcome, it is a very relaxing and competitive sport, and not too strenuous. Competitive games are played within the club, and should you manage to qualify to the finals, you have the chance of playing for your club at away tournaments. As members of a bowling association, we receive invitations to games at other clubs opening days. This can be pairs, triples or rinks.
We also have a winter Programme and anyone is welcome to come along and enjoy.
Monday – Modern Dance class – 5am – 7.30pm,
Phase 10 playing cards – Ladies Only – 7.00pm
Friday – Whist or Phase 10 playing cards – 7.00pm (every second week)
Saturday – Dancing to live music – 8.00 to 11.30
Sunday – The ladies section hold a bingo afternoon, 1st Sunday in the month.
The membership fees are £110.00 per year.
Resources and Amenities
Our large functions hall holds approx 80 to 90 and has licenced bar facilities. Our smaller lounge holds approx 30.
Our accommodation can be hired for private functions any Friday night. The large function hall has a seating capacity for 80 and small lounge can hold 30. There is a platform stage for entertainment use. Our accommodation is on ground level, and is therefore suitable for persons with disabilities.
