Overview
The HIVE (Hope, Inspiration and Vision in Education) is a bespoke learning space which focuses on preparing young people for life, learning and work. These programmes aim to develop essential skills, motivation and self-confidence in an innovative and engaging way. Course content includes a range of units to assist in the development of varied skill sets such as working with others, ICT, commmunications, citizenship, budgeting, creative skills, health and wellbeing and many more essential skills. The courses are designed to help youngsters develop confidence, social skills and independence.
Many have successfully moved onto other courses and/or employment.
Courses:
24/7 you will attend college for 4 + 1/2 days per week for 16 weeks
24/7 Plus you will attend college for 4 + 1/2 days per week for 18 weeks
PEZ and PEZ Plus you will attend college for 3 days per week for 18 weeks
Princes Trust you will attend college for 5 days per week for 12 weeks
Service Description
Access Routes 15 years old – 24/7 (SCQF Level 3) – Referral needs to be made from attending school. Once complete young people can progress to 24/7 Plus (SCQF Level 3), PEZ Personal Empowerment Zone (SCQF Level 4), ‘Routes to’ courses or other general college courses. 16 – 24 years old can access 24/7 Plus (SCQF Level 3) or PEZ (SCQF Level 4). Progression to PEZ Plus, ‘Routes to’ courses and/or other general courses. We also deliver Princes Trust Programmes (SCQF Level 3) This programme may include: Team Building Activity • Residential • Community Project • Team Challenge • Work Placement Some young people may choose to participate all courses detailed above, or they may simply complete one or two before moving on.
