Service Description

Anam Cara opened in 2009 and was built for the care of adults and older people. the unit is all on one level with a TV lounge, dining room, cosy corner, quiet areas to relax and a conservatory. There is a secured garden area to the front and  rear of the property. Staff are trained in the care of adults and older people with dementia and registered with the Scottish Social Services Council. The service is regulated by the Care Inspectorate who undertake unannounced inspections. Inspection reports can be obtained on their website for current grading information.

Duration

Guests can stay for a minimum period of 24 hours, the length of stay is dependant on individual circumstances

Resources and Amenities

Each room has ensuite facilites with a walk in shower. Every room has a lockable door and cabinet to secure your belongings. Laundry and catering are provided on site. You can register with the local GP practice for your medical needs during your stay.

Accessibility

Anam Cara is near to the town centre and local bus services. The nearest train station is at Glengarnock.
