Self-Direct Support is where you are allocated a budget called a direct payment. This money allows you to take more control over the services you receive. For more information please give us a call. Examples of how SDS has been used by parents and carers include:
‘I receive SDS payments for my son who is 12 years old, his ACS worker helps him to get out and about he has made new friends and has become more confident to do things on his own. This is a big improvement as he was always stuck in or with us.’
“I receive SDS payments my 15 yr old daughter can now travel independently, cook a small meal and also has new friends – they went to the cinema together, she is a real teenager now”
“I receive SDS payments my son attended ACS’s summer program, he went to Blairdrummond, his first time on an outing with us! I was delighted, he had a great day and came home happy with lots to talk about”
