Abbeyfield House has been open in its present form for over 16 years.We offer respite breaks and long term permanent care.

Resources and Amenities

Staffed by 46 dedicated staff members all carers hold SVQ qualifications. We have a full time activities coordinator who provides a full day of activities ranging from crafts to games to surfing the net. The building has two floors serviced by a easy to lift. The building has been adapted and added to for the purpose of a care home, many areas of the house are dementia friendly.All bedrooms have ensuite toilet and shower facilities. General use toilets are disable friendly. All meals which have been chosen by residents are cooked in house by our cook. Our main focus for residents is to allow residents to remain members of the community and to be encouraged to be as independent for as long as possible this is assisted by our close proximity to the town and local coffee shops.
