UK Emergency Alerts Service
Date of Event: April 21, 2023
On Sunday 23 April there will be a national test of the UK Emergency Alerts service. Your mobile or tablet may do the following:
Read out the alert
Vibrate
Make a siren-like sound even when set on silent
The purpose of the alerts is to warn you about extreme weather, fires or severe flooding. These alerts will only be sent by emergency services, government departments, agencies and public bodies that deal with emergencies.
