A three-month period of public consultation on proposals to redesign Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) delivery in Ayrshire and Arran got under way earlier this week.
Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) is a collective term for all anti-cancer drug treatments, such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy. As with many health and care providers, NHS A&A had to adapt its services during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure a safer service for its patients and staff. NHS A&A is now in a position to review these temporary changes and consider a more permanent model for SACT service delivery – and wants to ensure that local people have an opportunity to help shape this.
