Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) delivery in Ayrshire. Copy
Date of Event: March 23, 2023
Have your say on Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) delivery in Ayrshire.
A three-month period of public consultation on proposals to redesign Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) delivery in Ayrshire and Arran got under way earlier this week.
Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) is a collective term for all anti-cancer drug treatments, such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy. As with many health and care providers, NHS A&A had to adapt its services during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure a safer service for its patients and staff. You can find information on the temporary changes that were put in place here.
NHS A&A is now in a position to review these temporary changes and consider a more permanent model for SACT service delivery – and wants to ensure that local people have an opportunity to help shape this.
You can find out more and get involved by taking part in the consultation online.
The consultation period will run until Friday 19 May.
