We are a group of people with Parkinson’s disease and their friends and family who meet on Monday night at Shortlees Community Campus in Kilmarnock to learn to sing and share tea and cake afterwards. Singing is good for everyone but our focus on Parkinson’s disease leads to benefits for voice production, communication and confidence, as well as having fun and providing another support group
We aim to have fun and produce musical sounds! Our singing coach is excellent.
You don’t have to be able to sing before you come, you just need to want to.
We meet most Monday evenings upstairs,Lifts are available, spending about an hour with our singing coach, including a short break, followed by tea, coffee and cake and chat!We are running from 6.30 til 8.30pm most Mondays.
Find us on Facebook ” Parkinsons Community Singers” where there are some samples of our work so far!!
If you have any questions and when you decide to come please email or phone us.
£3 Per night
Also please bring a mug.
We sing for about an hour with a short break halfway through, then enjoy tea and cake afterwards.
