Service Description

We are a friendly garden where members can enjoy the benefits of gardening in an organic way in our raised beds and polytunnels.  We have about 180 raised beds and each member has one or more and one polytunnel bed per household to grow tomatoes, cucumbers etc.

Costs

At present we rent beds at £25 for a small raised bed and £50 for a larger one.

This includes a polytunnel bed at no extra cost.

Duration

Membership is on a yearly basis from Jan to Jan. but members may rent beds at other times when they are available.

Resources and Amenities

We have a tool container, free compost and wood chip for use on site.  There is an indoor seating area as well as a kitchen with tea and coffee making facilities.  We have picnic areas for members use as well as portaloos on site.

Accessibility

We are wheelchair accessible with the barn and concrete paths as well as the wood chip areas. We can accommodate wheelchair users with some of our beds outside and in a polytunnel.  We will try our best to accommodate mobility needs. We have a disabled access toilet as well.

There is a large car park beside us and parking is available at the gate.
