Community Organisation Promoting Music in the Community
Garnock Valley Community Concert Band aims to encourage musicians of all ages and skill levels to come together to make music for the enjoyment of themselves and others. We strive to continuously improve each individual members musical understanding and performance and in turn, the overall standard of the band. Most importantly we do all this whilst having a lot of fun! The door is always open to new members so if you play a wind or percussion instrument (or did a long time ago) and fancy being part of a fun, relaxed and hard-working community band then please get in touch or come along on a Tuesday night to Garnock Secondary School. We also accept beginners so if you are interested in learning please contact us. If you want to come but don’t have your own instrument then don’t let that stop you! Come along to a rehearsal and we will try our best to sort you out with an instrument to get you going. We are also a teaching band with lots of members experienced instrumental teachers, who are happy to teach any willing student. The band has been a SCIO registered charity since July 2012 . Charity No SC043326 Our 2012 / 2013 Annual Report and Financial Statements are available on the OSCR website
