Overview
Our fun reminiscing group has run since February 2015 and is held on the last Thursday of each month from 2pm to 4pm (except December).
It is aimed at being a nice event for people with dementia and a family member or support worker to attend and enjoy two hours reminiscing about a range of subjects such as movies, tv, sport or almost anything. There is some music to add to the friendly atmosphere. The sessions encourage involvement and although aimed at people with dementia we find all attendees enjoy the gentle nature of the event.
Service Description
Celebrating Memories run reminiscing events for the local council, a local national dementia charity, and care homes. The service is run by an individual with 10 years experience working with people with dementia.

A free event.
Duration
90 minutes to 2 hours.
Resources and Amenities
We have a short tea break. The event is held at The Masons on New Street in Largs (where parking is available).
