Overview
We provide information, support and advice to both Adult and Young Carers (aged 8 – 18) throughout North Ayrshire, Arran and Cumbrae, whose lives are restricted by taking responsibilty for the care of someone who needs help because of illness, drug or alcohol misuse, disablity or the effects of age. Service Description
We provide:
Information on Carers issues, e.g. benefits, respite, support groups, transport Advice on Carers Rights
Contact with other Carers
Help with form filling
Advocacy representing Carers
Access to reference library and literature
Support and a sympathetic ear
Relaxation in the form of alternative therapies available in Irvine, Largs, Kilbirnie and Saltcoats Young Carer Befriending
Young Carers support in a group or individual setting
Adult support groups in Irvine, Largs, Kilbirnie, Saltcoats, Arran and Kilwinning Counselling
Carers training

We are located at street level, with access for wheelchair users and fully adaptable disabled toilet facilities.
