Overview
Together We Can – Helping Families in North Ayrshire, is a new Public Social Partnership (PSP) operating within the North Ayrshire Area. “Together We Can” aims to provide support to vulnerable families with children from a pre-birth stage to pre-school years. “Together We Can” will work to support parents and families in a variety of ways to improve the outcomes of children and families within the North Ayrshire area. We believe that by breaking the cycle of poverty and inequality we can dramatically improve the outcomes of the families that we support. “Together We Can” works to contribute to the ambition of North Ayrshire Integrated Childrens Services Partnership for a “Better Childhood” for children.
Service Description
At Together We Can – Helping Families in North Ayrshire, We focus on increasing parental capacity in an aim to support positive change in the lives of children and families within North Ayrshire. “Together We Can” run a flexible 7 day service, providing a wide range of supports to meet the needs of the individual families. Through person centred planning, our hope is that we are able to effect positive change and equip parents with the skills, tools and support to ensure their children get the best possible start in life. Supports include but are not limited to, support with – Health & Nutrition, Parent/child attachment, Behaviour, Routines, Child development, Task centred supports (i.e cooking, cleaning, budgeting), self development, community involvement & Social interaction, Housing & benefits. Supports are flexible and can take place within the home or in community based settings with individuals or groups. We have a telephone referral system in place.
