Overview
Our mission is to promote, support, develop and connect groups and individuals to create resilient communities through volunteering, social enterprise and lifelong learning.
The Ayrshire Community Trust, also known as TACT, is a Third Sector organisation mainly focussing on developing local community and voluntary organisations. The Ayrshire Community Trust is a registered charity and is run by a Board of Volunteer Directors who oversee the work of the paid staff, who are responsible for delivering the company’s range of services.
Our four key areas of focus are:
1. To promote and develop volunteering
2. To support and develop local community organisations
3. To encourage and develop social enterprise
4. To create clearer links with the Community Planning Partnership
TACT endeavours to provide a single point of contact for anybody interested in volunteering, developing their community group or organisation. We are also involved in consulting with community and voluntary groups across North Ayrshire on a number of topics such as health, employability and community safety.
Partnership is at the heart of everything TACT does when working with individuals, voluntary groups or our statutory partners, such as the Local Authority.
