Overview

Stevenson Day Care and Resource Centre was formerly known as Strand Day Services and provides day care for older people aged 65 and over. It offers a homely therapeutic environment.

The aim of the centre is to provide a safe, flexible, therapeutic and homely environment for service users, their families and significant others, according to their assessed needs. To provide the highest possible quality social care and act in the best interest of people, by maximising their independence and helping them participate fully in their family and community. Our aspiration is to secure a lasting change in culture and a better quality of life for all North Ayrshire people

It is the aim of the service to work in partnership with service users, their families and significant others to promote the physical, intellectual, emotional and social wellbeing of the service users, taking into consideration the needs of the individual and those of the group.

Competent, trained staff will support service users and meet their assessed needs, according to Social Services policies and procedures

North Ayrshire Council is committed to the promotion and protection of the health and safety of service users and staff. There are policies and procedures within Day Service, which promote and comply with current health and safety legislation.
