Overview
Support for those with work concerns who have been affected by a cancer diagnosis.
Service Description
The Specialist Health and Work Service is made up of a team of expert practitioners experienced in health and work issues for those who have been affected by cancer. Our service supports patients and carers of those affected by cancer who are remaining in work, returning to work or looking for a new job. They will be given advice and guidance through every stage.
Here are a few ways in which we can help:
- Provide information and guidance to clients with a cancer diagnosis in relation to their health and work.
- Work with clients and their employers to agree a return to work plan.
- Advise on any adjustments that may be needed to make sure their return to work is as smooth as possible.
- Support clients making decisions regarding their working future.
- Attend or advise on return to work meetings that will help employers understand the client-needs.
- Identify employability services which can help patients to find new employment opportunities.
Costs
This service is free of charge.
