Service Description

At Rockville we work with each individual, their family and wider support network to create a personalised support programme which focuses on their goals and aspirations.

Through various social and therapeutic activities, people will be supported in developing their social skills, personal responsibility and independence. All activities offered are very much based on the individual’s choice and the staff at the service will ensure that each individual has the opportunity to develop their own interests and discover new hobbies.

We work in partnership with the community learning disability team, SALT, Community Learning Disability Nurses, GPs and Dieticians to ensure we provide a comprehensive support package for every individual living at Rockville. Progression in life skills are an integral part of the therapeutic care plan that is created for each individual.

Meal times are an important part of the day at Rockville. People living here will be able to choose and prepare their own meals, in our specially designed kitchen, with support from staff.

The people we support are encouraged to progress along a development pathway, with the aim of becoming more independent. At this point, they will have an opportunity to move into the adjoining flats on site, with the continued support of staff.

Resources and Amenities

This spacious modern service has six large, wheelchair accessible bedrooms, all of which have fully equipped ensuite wet rooms. We also have a large lounge and dining room.

Our specialised kitchen area is fully wheelchair accessible and features low-level worktops to allow all individuals to prepare meals.

Rockville has peaceful communal gardens where people can relax in the warmer months.

Adjacent to the main building are five one bedroom flats where people can be supported to live more independently. These comfortable, furnished and self-contained flats have access to an outside decking area.

The site has extensive grounds and beautiful views over the Gare Loch. Rockville is in easy reach of local amenities within the town of Helensburgh and village of Garelochhead. Both offer a choice of shops, pubs, cafés and outdoor activities.
