Overview

Health and social care delivery in Scotland is changing. Services provided by North Ayrshire Council and NHS Ayrshire & Arran are shaped by the changing needs and priorities of our communities.

The Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act was granted royal assent on 1 April 2014. This means health boards and local authorities have to integrate their services, resulting in joined-up, seamless health and social care provision that will improve people’s lives.

North Ayrshire Integration Joint Board (IJB) is responsible for the strategic direction of North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership (NAHSCP), and it makes sure the partnership is operating efficiently and effectively.
