Overview
Largs and District Carers Group is a support group ‘for carers by carers’. We provide support,information and friendship for unpaid carers within the Largs area. New members are registered through Unity Enterprise in Irvine initially but everyone is made very welcome.
Service Description
The group meets on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at the Brooksby Centre in Largs. Here we: Share information and support with other carers Provide a non- judgemental forum to discuss caring issues Pass on any information with regard to training that may be appropriate Organise outings and days away/time out for carers Arrange a variety of therapies, available at some sessions At the meetings like-minded people can meet up and enjoy tea/coffee and a chat with biscuits,of course! Everyone will be made very welcome.
Costs
Each member pays £1 per meeting. This contributes towards the cost of therapies.
