Support families and individuals to consider the options available within Self Directed Support, to assist and achieve agreed outcomes from the supported self assessment questionnaire. The options include Direct Payments, Individual Service Fund, traditional care and support services or a mixture of some or all of these. To provide information on employment issues that may arise through recruitment and ongoing employment.
From the outcome focussed care plan families, individuals and care managers are supported through the self-directed support journey towards establishing the care plan itself and the care and support services required. When individuals choose the Direct Payment option support is provided to assist in all aspects of setting up the direct payments and the future monitoring of the financial responsibilities and support chosen. Individuals are supported to engage with management and payroll services to ensure that employees are recruited and managed within current employment legislation, and towards developing good practice in the care and support of individuals within the community.
Independent Living Adviser services are provided as part Self-Directed Support within Social Services & Health, North Ayrshire Council.
Home visits are arranged however local Social Services and Health Offices are all accessible if preferred.
