Service Description

When you’re older it’s not unusual to feel lonely; just knowing someone is there for you can make all the difference. Our befriending service is delivered by a network of volunteers who provide much needed company and support to older people over the phone. All our volunteers are trained and have had all the checks you would expect.

Costs

This service is completely free of charge.

Duration

Once an older person is a member with Independent Age, the support continues for as long as it is needed. In many circumstances this can be for life.
