Overview
Haylie House is situated in a beautiful elevated position on the south side of Largs. Currently we can accomodate 26 residents within 20 single rooms and 3 double rooms most with ensuite facilities. We have three public rooms including a designated quiet lounge, a larger lounge with wonderful sea views and a diningroom over looking the gardens and its wildlife.
Our aim is to create a friendly, relaxed homely environment throughout the house. We encourage residents to personalise their own bedrooms as much as possible. All meals are prepared in house with the emphasis on the use of fresh local produce and home cooking and baking.
Our philosophy is to ensure we are responsive to the needs of all our residents and creating an environment where the residents are comfortable and feel “at home”. We also encourage and support our residents in making personal choices and are fully informed about thier care and support. We also encourage each resident’s relatives to feel part of Haylie House and to engage in the care we are providing.
Service Description
We provide 24 hour care for every resident which is personalised to meet their individual needs. We believe it is essential that every resident is treated with respect and dignity and participates in all aspects of their care ensuring the persons health and wellbeing. As part of this approach we regularly review each resident’s needs to ensure that the care and support we are providing are both appropriate and effective. Our professionally qualified staff provide support and assistance for each individual and advice whenever required to ensure each person can make informed choices about their care and support within Haylie House. Residents are encouraged to participate in activities of their choice and to maintain their independence as much as possible. Equally, we respect each resident’s right to privacy, to have time to themselves and be undisturbed whenever they so choose.
Costs
Haylie House welcomes both privately funded residents and those being funded through local authorities.
Duration
Haylie House has been providing care to the Largs community since 1955. We have established an excellent reputation as an independent care home provider through our continued commitment to the well-being of our residents.
