Service Description

We provide a reminiscing service that stimulates conversation and creates positive outcomes for those attending.

Primarily the service is aimed at helping those with dementia but it works well with all at creating conversation, fun and laughter.

Due to the Corona Virus we have set up “Remote Reminiscing” where we can run a session to the comfort of your home or centre. You would need to download Zoom which many are already using to communicate in these strange times, and always have a responsible person to sit in on the conversation. This service is currently free as I have recently set this up and want to test it out and I have no payment facility.

We have specialised for five years in providing Football Reminiscing services that work well with males but females are just as likely to join in the conversation. Image based gentle reminiscing sessions with linked in music help stimulate memories of the Golden Age of Football for those attending.

We cover non-football reminiscing based around all subjects including Movies, Music and TV. Theme Days including St Andrews Day, Valentines Day etc can be personalised. We can also create fun personalised birthday sessions. Sessions last between ninety minutes and two hours.

We recently created an “inter-generational session” between pre-school children and the elderly which was very successful. Songs and nursery rhymes from all era’s encouraged participation through singing and dancing. The elderly loved watching the kids become involved. We also provided an interactive childminding session so that a childminder could keep in touch with her minded children during the Corona Virus crisis.

We provide services to Council Daycares, Community Centres, Care Homes, local charities and individual can visit your premises under normal circumstances. We have the required Public Liability insurance for our work.

Duration

Sessions typically last between 30 minutes and two hours and we are happy to split a session around tea breaks

Resources and Amenities

We attach our laptop to your TV or Projector system. We are fully insured and our equipment is PAT tested.
