Overview
Fergushill Interlink Day Service is a North Ayrshire Council day service for adults with learning disabilities.
Service Description
Fergushill Interlink Day Service is a resource centre for adults over 18 years of age with learning disabilities in North Ayrshire. The centre is currently registered to provide day services for 90 people with complex needs, including those diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, challenging behaviour, and profound learning/physical/sensory disabilities, further complicated by dementia. Staff encourage people to participate in a wide range of activities, based at the centre and also in the community. All activities are outcome focussed and serve to encourage people to make choices, participate in the local community, have a valued social role, develop abilities and skills and develop and sustain relationships.
Duration
Placements within Fergushill are provided linked to the individuals support plan and agreed outcomes.
Resources and Amenities
The centre has around 38 members of staff who are trained in all aspects of social care and within specialist areas where required. The centre provides a range of activity rooms, including a well-resourced sensory room, a training kitchen and a multi-media room.
