Service Description

We have a Your voice meeting which allows residents to have their say on how they would like the Home to be run, what kind of food they like to eat and how they would like menu’s changed. We also have a wish board which allows residents to make wishes, this may include pamper days, days out or visiting relatives at home.

We deliver person centred care and encourage relatives to have as much participation as possible into the care of their relatives. We have relatives meetings on a regular basis and six monthly reviews are held in house with relatives, named nurses, resident and social workers/ Consultants.

We are contracted to Eglinton Medical Practice who have three GP’s, they visit the Home Monday to Friday in the morning. We also use the multi disciplinary team ranging from chiropodists, speach and language therapists, physiotherapists, dieticians and opticians. All referrals are made straight from the Home.

The Home has two types of Service provisions, NHS continuing care and Local Authority.

We have a hairdresser on site.

We have secure gardens so residents can walk freely. We have recently landscaped two gardens so that they are more dementia friendly, There are positive walking environments which each path leads to a seat or raised bed or sensory plants.

Duration

Twenty four hours a day seven days a week service which is available for residents for as long as they require care to be delivered.

Resources and Amenities

Cumbrae Lodge has a mini bus which is available for all residents within the Home. There are daily outings at residents choices.

Accessibility

All ground floor and wheelchair accessible. We have facilities for people who have physical care needs.
