Overview
The Community Alarm and Telecare Service is an emergency service that assists people of all ages who need some extra support to live safely at home.
Service Description
There are an arrange of sensors that are all linked to the community alarm unit which can be fitted discreetly around the home and most of the sensors are wireless. The sensors can monitor environmental risks such as smoke and carbon monoxide or personal risks such as falls. The community alarm equipment is monitored 24 hours a day by staff and the can alert mobile attendant staff to assist or contact family or neighbours as required.
Costs
The basic weekly cost for the mainland service is £4.20 and for island residents it is £2.10. Any additional sensors installed are included in the weekly cost.
Duration
The community alarm service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week all year round.
