Service Description

At present we support seven people who have autistic spectrum disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Down’s syndrome, varying degrees of complex needs and mild to moderate mental health issues. We support all individuals to become citizens in their own right and to build their independence and relationships within their local community. We ensure the people we support are actively involved in the recruitment process, induction and development of the staff team.

Barrington House is situated in the village of Beith in North Ayrshire which is approximately 20 miles from the city of Glasgow and 7 miles from the larger shopping town of Paisley. Public transport for Glasgow and Paisley can be accessed directly outside Barrington House. Beith is a small rural town which is located in the valley of North Ayrshire, although it is a small town there are a variety of shops, pubs and a library with access to the internet, well within walking distance, there is a large public park, local country walks, a community center which can be used for sports activities and social club for people with disabilities. We have access to a swimming pool and a couple of gyms in the next town of Kilbirnie which is 3 mile from Barrington House.
