Overview
The Bariatric Surgery Patient Support Group meets on the 2nd Monday of every month at 7.30pm in the Skills Lab, University Hospital Ayr. Anyone can attend who wishes to find out more information about bariatric surgery in Ayrshire whether they are pre or post operative. They can come alnog with a friend or family member. There is no need to register, please just attend. You will hear stories from other people who have had surgery.
The Support Group have also set up a Facebook Page (called ABSG). It is a closed Facebook page therefore only available to people who have been referred for surgery in Ayrshire. The Facebook page is solely done by patients for patients and does not have NHS involvement.
The support group has either Pam Lindsay, Bariatric Dietitian or Kevin McMahon, Bariatric Nurse who attends and facilitates the group.

NHS Bariatric Surgical Service, based at University Hospital Ayr. We have a multi-disciplinary team to support and educate patients before and after having bariatric surgery.
