Overview
Auchinlea Care Home is a 14 bedded residential home for the elderly. We provide respite as well as long term permanent care.We have a secure graden to the rear of the building that service users can enjoy.We are also proud to say that we have an Activities Co-ordinator seven days a week.
We have 26 staff employed to provide a high level of care and suppot. They are trained to SVQ levels and continue with ongoing training throughout the year.
Service Description
Our staff provide a high level of care to promote health and wellbeing,maintain and promote independence and social skills. We work in a person centred way.
All of our service users have access to GP, Podiatry, Dentist, Opticians, Physio with Hairdressing on offer once a week. Our Activities Co-ordinator can arrange outings such as lunch out, shopping,going to the local Park.She can support Service Users to maintain previous social contacts and groups. Service Users can be supported to attend church locally as well as services coming into the care home.
We have open visiting hours and are happy to welcome relatives and friends to visit and share our mealtimes. We have a relatives,residents and friends meeting every 6 weeks which we encourage everyone to attend.
Duration
We provide a 24 hour service, 7 days a week as long as service user’s require
Accessibility
The home is wheelchair accessible and we have a lift to take service users to the first floor.
