Individual and group support services for children and young people aged 3 – 18 years who have additional support needs.

Ayrshire Childrens Services is a developing service for children with additional supports needs; we create an all-inclusive package of support, which works alongside your child to deliver support tailored to their individual needs.
We listen to your child’s view and work with them to help access activities and services in their community. We also create activities and access community activities which will challenge and support your child’s develop new skills.
ACS also offers supports your child at home to learn new, independence skills within their home environment – keeping safe, home skills and personal skills.
Self-Direct Support is where you are allocated a budget called a direct payment; this money allows you to take more control over the services you receive. For more information please give us a call.

We will help build a plan together, giving your child a choice of activities, some of which are exclusive to ACS.
If you are worried or confused talk to us and we will help you see the future more clearly. We will arrange to come and see you at home and help you to be ready for the changes.

ACS promotes no red tape and no waiting lists we begin support within 2 weeks of the initial referral. We specialise in tailored support for families so please do not hesitate to call us we have many skilled workers.

The cost for this service is per hour at a rate of £16.50. ACS does not charge for travel, however certain activities may cost extra. Along with the hours you pay for, ACS may offer you free hours to help your personal budget fit your needs.
The duration is open ended as ACS works along side you, therefore times and dates are tailored to your choice, you can start and stop the support when ever you choose.

ACS is opening a skills and play centre situated in Ardrossan which will offer flexible care 12 hrs per day 7 days per wk 52 wks per yr. This will start a new chapter in the development of ACS, allowing the organisation to grow and develop services that are in line with your SDS and YOUR family’s needs and requirements.
The service will give true choice and control over the support you receive.
