Memory Café

Are you affected by memory problems or do you know someone who is?

If so then head along to Montgomery Court, Stoneyholm Road, Kilbirnie for the memory café 5 December 2017.

The café is an informal environment where you can have a cuppa and a chat with staff or other people in similar situations.

The group  starts at 2pm till 4pm and is free although donations are grateful and welcome as tea, coffee and cakes will be provided.

Garnock Valley Carers Support Group

Date of Event:    December 7, 2017

The Garnock Valley Carers meet in Bridgend Community Centre in Kilbirnie on the first Thursday of the month from 10am until 12noon.

This is an opportunity for unpaid Carers living in the Garnock Valley to get together and have a chat and a cuppa.

Therapy sessions are available and should be booked through the Carers Centre in Irvine on 01294 311 333.

Alzheimers Scotland Is Active In North Ayrshire

Alzheimers Scotland has a number of community groups which are a local resource for people with dementia, carers and family:

  • Musical Minds Irvine (Fullarton Church) 1.30pm-3pm. Last Monday of the month.
  • Football Memories Ardrossan (Civic Centre). 11am-2pm Second  Monday of every month.
  • Musical Memories Kilbirnie (Montgomery Court Community Hub). 2-3.30pm. Second Thursday of the month.
  • Football Memories Irvine (Vennel Centre, East Road) 11am-12.30pm. Third Monday  of the month.
  • Musical Memories Beith , Beith Parish Church 1.30-3pm. Third Tuesday of the month.
  • Talk of the Town, Irvine (Vennel Centre East Road) 1.30-3pm Third Monday of the month.
  • Talk of the Town Kilbirnie. (Montgomery Court Community Hub) 2-3.30pm. Fourth Thursday of the month.

All of their community groups are for those who can attend independently or with a family member, carer or with a friend. Open for all. Suggested donation £2.00
