Musical Memory Lane

Raise Your Voice Ardeer is part of Centre Stage on the Road and is a community group open to everyone in the community that provides a place for people to come together in an uplifting environment to share skills, have fun, build confidence and encourage each other.

Every week on a Monday from 1.30pm to 3pm at Ardeer Community Centre they have Musical Memory Lane (MML). It is a very special fun afternoon of music, tea and biscuits. During the afternoon they have music, singing and some time for everyone to have a chat with friends, old and hopefully some new ones made along the way.

They do not charge for Musical Memory Lane, however donations are always welcome.

Memory Café

Date of Event:    April 3, 2018

Are you affected by memory problems or know someone who is?

If so head along to the Memory Café support group at Montgomery court, Kilbirnie on the first Tuesday of every month from 2-4pm.

The café is an informal environment where you can have a cuppa and a chat with staff or other people in similar situations.

The group is free, but they would appreciate a donation of £1.50.

Fibro Friends Support Group

FFU-Scotland (Fibro Friends United) are a registered social enterprise that provides support and advocacy services for fibromyalgia suffers across Scotland.

FFU-Scotland has monthly support group meetings that offer friendship, advice, information and support for self-management. Throughout the year they also invite speakers. There is one at Crosshouse Hospital on the first Tuesday of the month from 7-9:30pm and at Fullarton Connexions, Irvine every third Thursday from 7-9:30pm.

The next one in at Crosshouse Hospital is Tuesday 3 April 2018.

Easter Bird Arts & Crafts Workshops

Linked Hands

Date of Event:    April 6, 2018

Linked Hands is a community group for everyone including anyone living with dementia and their family and friends to go along too. The group meet at Ardrossan Park Church on the 1st Friday and the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

Head along to Park Church on the 6 April 2018 for community, chat, coffee and cake at 1:30pm till 3pm.

The group is to be enjoyed by all, those who are unable to attend independently should come with a companion who can take responsibility for them and share the experience of the group.

Please note there is no transport available  to this group.

A suggested donation of £2 would be very much appreciated.

Irvine Fun And Information Event

On Saturday 7 April 2018 Irvine Community Council is hosting a free Information & Fun Day for all of the residents living in Irvine. It will take place in The Volunteer Rooms in Irvine from 12 noon until 4pm.

There will be lots of different services in attendance offering advice such as: Police Scotland, CLASP, AHEAD Community Builders, KA Leisure, HSCP Partnership, Irvine Beat FM, Break A Leg Drama, North Ayrshire Employability Skills, Scottish Fire & Rescue, Coastwatch Irvine and Irvine Beach Clean.

Also on offer will be entertainment such as face painting, arts & crafts, easter egg hunt plus free food and drinks.

Autism Awareness Funday

Date of Event:    April 7, 2018

NAS One Stop Shop Ayrshire are having a fun-filled fundraising family event in Ardreer Community Centre, Shore Road, Stevenston on Saturday 7 April from 12pm-4pm.

There will be face painting, bouncy castle, sensory room, sweets, stall and much more!

SISG Skills For Hearing Class

Date of Event:    April 12, 2018

SISG (Sensory Impaired Support Group) offer a skills for hearing class on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at Garnock Valley Area Centre, Craigton Road from 10-12pm for older people with hearing loss.

The small group develop practical coping strategies as well as learning finger spelling and lip-reading.

The next class date is 12 April 2018.
