Drama Classes For Children And Adults

LGBTI+ Social Group

Date of Event:    June 5, 2018

Are you LGBTI+, between the age of 12 and 25 years old? Then why not go along to these groups where you relax and be yourself. You can get to know new people whilst taking part in fun activities.

The groups meet on Tuesdays locally in Kilwinning from 6.45pm-8.45pm. There are two groups 12-18 years old and 18-25 years old.

The group is completely confidential and you can take a friend or family member if that makes you feel more comfortable.

Fibro Friends Support Group

Date of Event:    June 5, 2018

FFU-Scotland (Fibro Friends United) are a registered social enterprise that provides support and advocacy services for fibromyalgia suffers across Scotland.

FFU-Scotland has monthly support group meetings that offer friendship, advice, information and support for self-management. Throughout the year they also invite speakers. There is one at Crosshouse Hospital on the first Tuesday of the month from 7-9:30pm and at Fullarton Connexions, Irvine every third Thursday from 7-9:30pm.

The next one in at Crosshouse Hospital is Tuesday 5 June 2018.

Modern Apprenticeship Recruitment Support Day

Date of Event:    June 8, 2018

Are you a North Ayrshire resident aged 16 to 19 years of age and actively seeking employment or wish to find out what a Modern Apprenticeship entails?

If so, there is a Modern Apprenticeship Recruitment Support Day taking place at Greenwood Conference Centre, Dreghorn on Friday 8 June 2018 from 9am until 3pm.

There will be Service Representatives and Modern Apprentices from a wide variety of Apprenticeships available to discuss the ins and outs of a Modern Apprenticeship within North Ayrshire Council. There will also be advice and assistance available to support the completion of Application Forms. Apprenticeships within the Council will be available in a number of disciplines and the majority will have start dates of August of this year.

Community Big Lunch

Date of Event:    June 9, 2018

The Big Lunch is an annual get together for communities. It is a simple affair of community, fun and friendships.

Bring along your packed lunch or any food that you could share with others on Saturday 9 June 2018 at Redburn Community Centre from 12-2pm.
Children can bring along their teddy bears for teddy bear picnic area. The day is free of charge, just go along on the day.


Gravity Trampoline ASN Sessions

Date of Event:    June 10, 2018

Gravity Trampoline sessions are suitable for you and your family due to it being in-line with additional support needs and #AutismFriendly events – for example, with reduced sound and lighting, and staff who have Autism Awareness training.

What’s extra special about this trampoline park is that it hosts these disability sessions three times per week, giving you and your family extra opportunity to attend.

These sessions aim to help with a range of sensory developmental and physical disabilities with appropriate and beneficial activities. This includes therapeutic exercise, with the opportunity to also use their special equipment – there are Sensory Tents and Sensory Balls.

6pm Monday, 10am Wednesday & 10am Sunday (WEEKLY)

Age: 18months – 18yrs
Cost: £5 per person + £2.50 Gravity Socks

All Ability Cycling Come and Try Event

Date of Event:    June 10, 2018

All Ability Cycling are having a Come and Try Event at Dam Park Stadium, Ayr on 10 June – 1.30pm to 4pm (turn up anytime between times).

This event will feature bikes which are adapted for those with a physical disability on a come and try basis.

Friends Of Eglinton

Date of Event:    June 10, 2018

Friends of Eglinton are a group of enthusiastic local people that help with conservation activities around the park. They meet on every 2nd Wednesday and Saturday. They are supported and trained by the Countryside Rangers.

They carry out practical conservation work, help with wildlife surveys and monitoring, and create new projects within the park that benefit the area. If you’d like to get involved contact us by telephoning 01294 551776
