ACCOMMODATION ASSISTANT (NIGHT SHIFT)

Description:
Cunninghame Housing Association is the first Housing Association in Scotland (with more than 50 employees) to be awarded Investors in People Platinum, Investors in Young People Gold Accreditation and Investors in People Health & Wellbeing Good Practice Award. We work in partnership with North Ayrshire Council to operate a modern, well-resourced Homeless Persons’ Facility in Irvine, North Ayrshire. Victoria House operates 24 hours a day, all year round and provides temporary accommodation to a broad mixture of client groups ranging from young single male and female residents to families. To assist in the effective delivery of this excellent service the Association is looking to recruit committed people. Reporting to the Generic Teams Supervisor, the post holder will participate in the day to day operation of the Homeless Persons Facility, during delegated shift periods, in line with the operating standards and policies to support homeless people towards independent living and facilitate their return to the community. You must have awareness of homeless legislation, excellent customer care and interpersonal skills as an essential part of the role is dealing with vulnerable people. Duties of the post will include carrying out Housing Support Plan interviews and completing relevant documentation for all residents within the Unit, then liaising with external agencies to positively progress their agreed plans during their residency with us.
