North Ayrshire is home to a range of museums, each represents a different aspect of life, from Burns connections to costume, and from maritime interests to religious life.

The Heritage Centre in Saltcoats incorporates the North Ayrshire Museum and the Local and Family History Centre, previously based in the Vennel in Irvine. This brings together North Ayrshire’s heritage and genealogy for the benefit of residents and visitors to the area.
